Edges and Echoes

This time, Gleichenia will hold a solo exhibition "Edges and Echoes" at tata bookshop/galley.

The attitude of accepting the unpredictable and imperfect states, such as "accidental resonance" and "shifting arrangements," is an important foundation in Gleichenia's work. While exploring the characteristics and relationships of materials, I have been inspired by momentary things such as traces and transformations encountered by chance, and have continued creating with surprise.

In this exhibition, we will display Gleichenia's jewelry and objects alongside sketchbooks that Kanako Ikegaya has been working on as her life's work since 2000. You can see the journey of how fragments of thought and accumulated experiments connect to forms and works.

Additionally, to coincide with this exhibition, we will publish Gleichenia's first art book "Edges Echoes." I would be happy if this book, which shows the guidelines of creation and conception thus far, becomes a small trigger for readers and leads to new awareness where sensations resonate with each other.
