Gleichenia presents "Edges and Echoes" at tata bookshop / gallery in Koenji, Tokyo — an exhibition centered on Kanako Ikegaya's sketchbooks, created since 2000. Over two decades of accumulated images, fragments of thought, and visual experiments are laid open — an exploration of how ideas take shape before they become finished work.
Coinciding with the show, Gleichenia launches a new zine, also titled "Edges and Echoes," presenting the guidelines of creation and conception developed across the duo's practice.
A small selection of CAIRN pendants and glass incense stands accompanies the sketchbooks — but the heart of this exhibition is the image exploration itself: accepting the unpredictable and imperfect states, including accidental resonance and shifting arrangements.
