Shared Surface

Gleichenia will be holding a solo exhibition "Shared Surface" at januka Gallery. Float glass, created on the premise of being uniform and flat, has long been used as a stable planar material in architecture and everyday objects. In this exhibition, through the medium of glass, we explore the relationship of Shared Surface—how slight differences born from traces of hands and time come to share a single plane. Centering on new works from the WRIGHT collection, inspired by Fallingwater, designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935, we will present various objects and collage works. As hands touch and time passes, the boundary between the inside and outside of a single piece of glass quietly dissolves and merges, and the forms born from the contours of overlapping gently carry layers of light into the space.
