Pont du Gard 2025

自然の地形に寄り添うように築かれた古代ローマの水道橋「Pont du Gard」から着想を得たコラージュシリーズ。
4万個の石を積み重ね、275mの距離に水を渡し、人々の暮らしを支えた痕跡に思いを馳せる。三層アーチや刻まれたローマ数字、水圧を分散する工夫に目を向け、ガラスをはじめとした異素材を組み合わせ制作しています。

「水鏡」「勾配」「橋注」をテーマに、時を超えてめぐる水の流れを新たなかたちで映し出しています。

In this exhibition, you can view new collage works by Kanako Ikegaya, as well as jewelry and objects from Gleichenia. Please visit and enjoy the show

This collage series was inspired by the ancient Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, made of around 40,000 stones. I reflected on the traces of water that once flowed through it, focusing on its techniques and ingenuity. The triple arches, carved Roman numerals, and management of water pressure caught my attention. Using materials like glass, metal, and resin, I explored themes of "water mirror," "gradient," and "bridge annotation," creating a new expression of water's timeless flow.
